NorStellas oppgave er å arbeide for utvikling og bruk av åpne, internasjonale standarder for elektronisk samhandling og internasjonal handelsforenkling. Bruken av slike standarder skal ha en praktisk verdi for bedriftene. Oppgaven søkes løst både gjennom egne aktiviteter og prosjekter, og gjennom samarbeid med andre organisasjoner.

The key to successThe first phase of the Shortsea XML project ends in September. To mark the conclusion of this phase, to celebrate its successes and to set the next phase in motion we shall be holding a closing conference on Monday 15th of September 2008.

The aim of the conference is to bring together the European shortsea community - shippers, carriers, ports, IT and logistics providers - to demonstrate the project's deliverables and to show how they have been successfully implemented in live situations. We will also explain how the project is to continue into the future. We expect well over 100 senior representatives to attend.

The conference itself will start at 10:00 and end 15:30. After that, there will be a reception from 15:30 until 17:00 at the same venue. Whilst the event is FREE to all delegates we are seeking modest sponsorship to help cover the costs.

The centre Arpège Services Victoire cooperate with a hotel named Hotel Jules. The price is 160€ per night without breakfast. You have to inform them that you are at a conference at the Arpège Victorie to get this price.
